Interceptor Drip Trays and What Role They Play

1605115654interceptordriptray.jpg

If you’ve never heard of an interceptor drip tray, then you’ve come to the right place. These drip trays prevent small leaks onto the ground, mainly construction sites where chemicals and small amounts of fuel or oil are needed. It is a highly effective solution to preventing costly fuel and oil leaks and will also help you avoid being prosecuted or fined.

How do they work?

Interceptor drip trays work by catching and containing any spills or drips which may occur, thus preventing contamination of the surrounding area. It’s a simple process and one that is now a legal requirement under the Control of Pollution Regulations 2001.

At FOC Sales & Hire our drip trays are not affected by heavy or prolonged rainfall and will not overflow due to their design which is specifically for use outside. The Clear Flow Filter allows trapped water to flow freely to the ground - which reduces the risk of the drip tray from overfilling during rainfall. Our drip trays are perfect for sitting underneath generators, fuel tanks and pumps and will stop any ground contamination on your site.

Different sizes

Interceptor drip trays can come in a range of sizes which means they can be used with a variety of different equipment and machinery. There are also optional extras that can be purchased such as Discharge Pumps, Gas/bottle cages, Drum/IBC Stands.

Interceptor drip trays can be used in a wide range of environments including emergency, wastewater, agriculture, manufacturing, refineries and mines. Our sales team has extensive knowledge of this type of equipment and can advise on the best solution for your business.

Be responsible

As a site owner, you are responsible for preventing your business or organisation from causing or allowing

pollution to happen on site. Pollution is when a particular substance could harm site workers or the public. The consequence of failing to adhere to the legal guidelines is an unlimited fine, going to prison for up to 5 years, or both - you may even have to pay for the whole cost of the clean-up.
