FOC supplies Boskalis with a full site set up for Hornsea 2 Offshore export cables.

Last week FOC Hire and Sales are proud to have finished the installation of the first full site set up bought by our new customer Boskalis Subsea UK.

The full set up includes, 2 bay modular meeting room, linked offices, canteen areas, drying rooms, male and female toilet facilities, waste tanks and water tanks as well as all furniture required. All equipment supplied in Boskalis own colors and livery.

FOC worked incredibly hard with Boskalis project managers to develop the cabins to Boskalis requirements and arranged delivery to site as well as installation and setup. Taking care of all layout concept drawings, RAMS, lifting plans, foundation plans and site assessments required to get the job done.

Even as the pandemic hit and Boskalis had to change their site layout due to new social distancing parameters, we reacted fast and assisted by providing them with an additional canteens unit to allow them to have the extra space they needed.

If you have a similar project or need cabins or containers for your new site or project then why not get in touch with FOC Sales & Hire, providers of construction equipment.

Hornsea 2 Project Scope.

The project scope includes the preparation of the offshore export cable route (geophysical survey, boulder clearance and seabed levelling through dredging), and the installation and protection of the cables. The three 130-kilometre-long export cables will connect the offshore substation to the onshore substation by means of a 300-meter-long horizontal directional drilling, crossing the sea defence of Horseshoe Point. The project is expected a planned completion of late 2021.
